For our customers who wish to implement a single global firewall solution within a region, we offer our Network Firewall Service (NFS). The Network Firewall Service is aimed at multinationals who wish to protect multiple sites within their network from unauthorised access and misuse using just one firewall platform. It is called a network firewall service because the firewall is installed in one of our network firewall farms which sits between our network where the customer's sites are located and high speed Internet access. This means that on our network side, multiple intranet sites can be connected into one firewall platform installed at the farm and on the Internet side, our customers can use the high speed Internet access connected to the location.
Our Network Firewall Service is an extremely cost effective way for multinationals to protect multiple sites within the same region for the cost of one managed firewall. It is implemented regionally at our secure "firewall farms" and this regional architecture lets you build a global firewall solution to handle your all-Internet traffic from your sites within a region, for the same cost as one firewall at a single site. Our Network Firewall service implements for you a 'clean pipes' strategy where all traffic, inbound and outbound can be inspected and controlled at a managed gateway.
Our Network Firewall Service uses Check Point Firewall-1's proprietary Stateful Inspection engine to look at all parts of a communication packet of information, to ensure that the traffic is trusted, is what it appears to be and whether it should be allowed through according to the pre-configured rules. In addition, we have installed Internet Security Systems Real Secure Intrusion Detection capability in all firewall farm locations to monitor traffic and look for attackers trying to exploit the infrastructure. When they do, alarms are triggered.
